Just looking around to see what's out there for Doc's when I seen your page. Think it's great,I'm currently serving with 2d FORCE RECON out of Lejeune.I just returned back to active duty after being out for 2 1/2 years. I just plain missed it.Well,9 years to go & I'll think about getting out!! Take care & SEMPER FI !!!

Hello. I realize that I am not a veteran but my father, Donald Arthur Gilbert, HM3, was. He was a corpsmen in the Vietnam War. After coming home (I was only 2 years old) he worked in a hospital morgue in Charleston, SC for about 9 months and then killed himself. My mother said he was just so different when he came home. Anyway because he killed himself, his family has pretty much disowned me and I am searching for buddies of his who might be able to tell me about him. He did his corpsman training in San Diego and worked ER at Balboa Hospital there in 63-64. In April of 65 he went to Camp Pendleton, CA to complete his Marine training and then in Aug. 65 was shipped to Okinawa, Japan where he worked ER at the Naval Hospital there. He was made to work ER there even though he wanted to go over to Vietnam. I don't know if he ever made it to Vietnam but he returned in 67. Could you possibly tell me where I might find a site or location where I can possibly locate some old buddies of his? I haven't been very successful at finding sites. However, if this is something you don't do or are too busy to do, I'll understand completely. Thank you so much.
