Hello!,I am Bobby Harper,grandson of Marvin Harper(appx.83 yrs.old)whom is native to southern Ga.,Ala.,and currently lives in Destin Fla.,sired three known children from deseased wife Maurice(maiden unknown),Gerald(Jerry) Harper vietnam vet,Diane Harper,Bobby Nathan Harper,sr.(my dad,born in phoenix city,ala. 1948,1949?)it is my belief that some roots are from Dothan,Ala. I was born in Columbus,Ga. in 1966,mother-Donna Ruth Still born 1948-Montgomery,Ala. my only sibling is my sister Nancy DeeLeigh Harper.I am married and have three of my own children, Heidi Kristin Schuff Harper-wife,Bobby Nathan Harper III,1996-son,Shelby Elisabeth,1997-daughter and Hunter Joseph Harper,1999-son. I found your website and look foward to exploring it and others to look over my possible ancestry. As far as getting info out of Marvin Harper,well... The 28th of May 1836 was on a Saturday. The article said that George died "last Friday" after being shot two weeks earlier. Do you suppose the publisher was speaking of Friday, May 27th, it being the day before; or Friday, May 20th, eight days earlier.
If it was I talking about last Friday, I would be speaking of the last Friday before yesterday. Yesterday being Friday also.
Do you have an opinion on this after reading the article?
