You've done much better than I have. Most of the Harpers on my side hardly speak to one another and out of 3 brothers and 5 sisters on my Fathers side - only 2 sisters are left. Most of these Harpers were born in Waycross, GA from 1910 until 1916. Then 2 were born in Dade City, FL., where I'm from. Maybe you've come across Raymond Rufus Harper or Keatley Seaward Harper.

I wanted to let those of you who has read my plea for my Aunt Janice who was desperately searching for her Mother and Sister ( Janice and Gloria Jean Harper) for over the past year now, was unsuccessful before her death as of this past Sunday, (10/19/03 ). She died alone in her home and we all are devastated. Now, may she rest with Peace, knowing that she is not alone without the ones she once loved, for if her family had pasted away, maybe they are now together. Thanks for the help trying to give her this gift prior to her death. Even thou it was unsuccesful, she knew I was trying to help her. REST IN PEACE MY WONDEFUL AUNTIE, and I SHALL SEE YOU ONE DAY!!
Love Patty

My Harper line started with George Harper from possibly Greene or Wilkes Co.. He settled in that area with a Revolutionary soldier's land grant. George R. Harper settled our family farm at Plains in about 1839 and was married to Margaret Ponder on Nov. 14th., 1877. He served in the Ga. Legislature 5 terms. His son Dr. George A. Harper lived at our farm, went to Eclectic Medical College in Philadelphia, Pn.. He served in the Confederacy in Company B, 11 Battalion, Georgia Artillery. His son was James Emmette Harper and his son was my dad George A. Harper. My dad served in the Air Force during WWII. The family farm at Plains is still in our family. My mother lives there along with my two brothers.
I enjoyed looking at your site.
