I have noted from your web site that you are not doing training classes at the moment. I have a yorkie who the vet thinks is 3 years old (he came from the Yorkie Rescue). I have had him for about 1 1/2 years and although for most of the time he behaves okay some of the time he doesn't! Someone told me that training classes are to train the owner rather than the dog!! Can you suggest or recommend any good training classes in Edinburgh (particularly the East End). Thanks. Your web site is very well done and informative, I love the pictures of your dogs.

As an owner of a young GSP called Tango and an Italian Spinone called Buffy I attended Yvonne's classes to establish basic control and abedience prior to taking them into the field. Despite the fact of being ''surrounded'' by one of two very nice Dobermans we had a great time and achieved our training objectives. Both dogs have been grouse counting and we are now looking forward to the start of the shooting season.

Hi, I thought you may be interested to know I own a Dobermann, Kestrel Flyers, whom is 4 years old and has just qualified out of working 'Novice'.
Jake (pet name) is four years old and entered his first open obedience show in July 1999 and by September after only five shows we had qualified out of pre-beginer and beginner,so we were eligible to try out for the crufts regional obedience team (Midlands).
Jake worked well and competed at Crufts 2000 and the team came 2nd.
After only 6 Novice competitions we have now qualified out of Novice and are currently working 'A' and 'B'.
Now we are panicking!! Any advise you may have to help us to advance through the classes would be greatly appreciated.
Jake and I use motivational training,as you know Dobes, you will appreciate that motivation can sometimes be very frustrating as they do not always want to be motivated. Jake is exceptioanlly laid back, even by Dobermann standards, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If it is of any relevence his dam is Sallate Intimate (out of Sallate Legend) and his sire is Otherton Pure Genius.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear any comments you may have.
Best regards
Michelle
