We are foster parents who had our sibling group (aged 2-12)taken away because of CPS Investigator made-up allegations! Complete fabricated lies. But, I guess CPS made a lot of money in one action by removing them from imminent danger and placing them in another foster home. They were actually featured on the front page of the newspaper two times. We are in pain. They were taken away July 24, 2006. Anyway, we fight to get them back and will hear news of our 2nd appeal this week (so they say).

I'm delighted to hear about Foster Parents Legal solutions!!! Can you tell me why Ca. doesn't have "Foster Parents Bill Of Rights?" In my research I found that many other states have "FPBOR."

Your story is very touching a heartfelt. Me and my family are currently going through a allegation investigtion and similar things have occured to us as to what you experienced. We are still fighting and this fight is hurting us badly. The only difference in our story is that it deals with a native treaty little boy who we had inour home since he was 3 months old. For over three yers we did no hear or see and persons for the reserve nor all all bio-family contact ended when he was 6 months old. My older daughter got very attached to this little guy and wanted to adopt him. We knew that the band did not want to let their childrenbe adopted ny non native families but wanted them to have homes with extended family. While doing our own family genealogy we discovered that theremay be a chance that my children and this little guy have a genealogy connection. However when we let the band know this they changed the rules so that only band members could adopt their children. So they looked hard for extended family came up with one and this fell through, came up with another and the band supported them. This family also fosters and have 3 high-risk teens and well as 5 bio-children living in a 1000 sq.ft stndard reserve home. This little boy has to sleep with 2 teen girls. This foster is not licensed which is a rule according to our province. However it appers there are two set of rule one for native and one for non-natives. So the system has broken our hearts and why because we acked them to show us that this is a good home to place a a 4 year old little boy , who has never been on a reserve before, nor has his parents or grand-parents or great-grandmothe since she ws 16 years old. So we got alammed because we asked questions and advocated for a child.

My life is ruined with my son. my step-daughter accussed me of sexual misconduct....I was charged! The day before it went to court she said she was lying. Now FCS is involved regaurdless of what the outcome was, according to them I am guilty.
