Thank you for putting up this site. I've recently been put in a situation that has opened my eyes and let me know, that even the "DO GOODERS" such as the fostercare agencies, have the ability to abuse others. What really appalls me is that they find ways around to substantiate the reasonings behind what they do. I have spoken out on behalf of a 12yr old child in desperate need of help I had in my home and went above and beyond to get things set in place for her. It meant going to the VP of the agency and other things. I recently recieved a letter in the mail saying they were no longer going to be my sponsering agency do to past problems in the home. Can you tell me what fosterhome doesn't have problems. I, and I'm sure we all have problems with our own kids let alone opening our homes and hearts to those who have been abused in one way or another. I could have accepted that they pulled my license, but what gets my goat is as I was doing some checking into becoming licensed with other agencies, I was told I'd have to have a recommendation from my previous fostering agency. They just as well cut my heart out. They know that technically I did nothing wrong nor have I been found guilty of abusing any child. Its there way, I believe of punishing me for them not being on ther JOB. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to drop me a line. I've always been able to figure a way to fight fire with fire, but right know I'm totally stomped. They really placed me between a rock and a hard place and then they wonder why there is not enough fosterparents. How do they hold there head high and say they will protect kids from abuse, but have no qualms about abusing the fosterparents that really do care and want to provide a safe haven for these children. Do they not think that the kids are not effected by a sudden move for an apparent no good reason? And it hurts terrible bad when the foster kids call and ask when do you think I'll be able to come back.

It's been six years since our allegations. We sincerly cared for Children. However our only mistake was pointing out to our Government Partners that they weren't doing their job...

My husband and I got our firts home study yesterday and will have a final one next week. We hope to receive children into our home by June the way it looks now and are really looking forward to it. I remember needing a place once as a small child and how welcome that felt, so needless to say I want to do the same for others. We are going to adopt if the opportunity comes open. The DHHR has been a big help to us. God will see us through the rest of it. We had three of our own and lost two in the last seven years and He gave us strength through it all. Nice website.
