I have serious questions about the dfacs system in Georgia. There has to be a way to re-vamp the system in this state and make it child and family friendly. There is too much politics and too much power. What can we do to overpower an out of control system that seems to be totally out of control. Four years ago DFACS got involved in my child custody case. The head of the Dfacs here is a close friend of the other side in my case. Without any neglect or abuse they became involved in my child custody case. I had a happy well-adjusted child. We lived in a nice four bedroom two and half bath home in a very good neighborhood. I have worked the same job for the last 18 years. Dfacs could only say that my then seven year old son could not use the washing machine and I did not allow him to use steak knives. There report confirms this. There were allegations from my child that his father from whom I had been divorced a number of your had sexually touched him dfacs did not investigate those allegations even though my ex-husband has a brother is a convicted child molestor. Nineteen dfacs workers showed up at the courthouse in the case with no neglect or abuse and made fun of me and one of them was overheard saying " I was a pretty lady and tuff too. It would be hard to break me." Someone needs to do something. My ex-husband with a drinking an abuse problem was awarded my son. I do not drink have never tried drugs go to church every time the doors open and it is a plain everyday old church not anything off the wall. I had not dated for a long time.I always had responsible sitters for my child. He was in private school, karate and did ball in the summer. If you question what I am writing I have all the paper documentation to back up everything that I am saying. we are new a foster parenting.we had an 11 year old girl live with us for 4 days.we were hoping to adopt her since parental rights were going to be terminated.on the 4th day that she lived with us she accused my husband of sexually abusing her.our life is now a living hell.please help us

Our hearts go out to all who have had to go through a false allegation, as we are just now learning what it's like to go through such a painful situation and realizing how terribly devastating it is for these little ones to be torn away from the only security they have ever known !!!
