Your Poem:
I DON’T LIKE WHO I AM.
I WISH I WERE MORE LIKE YOU
THEN MAYBE...
EVERYONE WOULD LOOK UP TO ME
AND LOVE ME TOO.
I'D LIKE TO BE YOU INSTEAD OF ME,
BUT I GUESS THIS IS THE WAY IT HAS TO BE:
ME BEING ME AND YOU BEING YOU.
I'D LIKE TO FEEL HOW YOU FEEL
AND DO WHAT YOU DO.
I'D LIKE TO CHANGE PLACES WITH YOU
FOR MAYBE A MONTH OR JUST A WEEK...
TO LOOK HOW YOU LOOK
AND SPEAK HOW YOU SPEAK,
THINK HOW YOU THINK,
GO WHERE YOU GO,
FEEL HOW YOU FEEL
AND KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW.
IT'S HARD BEING ME
AND I WISH I WERE YOU
SO I COULD GET THE LOVE THAT YOU GET
AND DO ALL YOU DO.
THAT'S HOW I WISH IT WOULD BE,
ME BEING YOU AND YOU BEING ME.
I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT
AND PEOPLE WOULD CARE
BUT ALL THEY DID WAS LAUGH AND STARE...
THEY LAUGHED AT ME TRYING TO BE YOU.
WHEN ALL I HAD TO DO FOR PEOPLE TO LOVE ME,
WAS LOVE ME TOO!
NOW THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE-
NOW I KNOW PEOPLE WILL LOVE ME...
IF I WOULD JUST LOVE MYSELF MORE.

Your Poem:
Everyone I see is smiling
Everyone I know is happy
The only frown I see is
when I look in the mirror
Everyone's so full of cheer
I wear a smile when out in public
I wear a mask to hide myself
From their prying eyes
They go about their business
Not knowing what I have to hide
They just seem to ignore
All the pain I have inside
Only one of them knows my feelings
'You should be an actor,' she said
Am I really that good
At staying locked inside my head?
Some ask me questions
'Are you alright?'
'Sure,' I say
Then cry my way through the night
I seem to have a few close friends
Who care about me more than I do
These are the ones that I must keep
If I'm to make my way through this life
This thing that we call 'life'
But why should we bother to live?
For all life leads to death, you see
Until we've nothing left to give.

Your Poem:
In Memory.
September 11th two thousand and one
A summer day had just begun
Loved ones had kissed each other goodbye
Not knowing that terror would fall from the sky
The smiles on the faces of each girl and boy
The air filled with laughter their hearts filled with joy
Nobody knowing the price they would pay
For the freedom they woke with on that day
The blue skies turned orange and hate fell around
Heroes were risking their lives on the ground
Nightmares took over in place of the dreams
Laughter and happiness replaced by the screams
The blue sky turned dark, and day became night
The hopes of so many no longer in sight
Hands clasped together the world joined as one
So many hearts broken the mourning begun
We’ll never forget in years to come
September 11th two thousand and one
When hate brought us terror out of the sky
And those that know love asked the lord why?
The many knocked down will soon rise again
And people will learn to live with the pain
United together we’ll slay the beast
Till man in the future, can live in peace.
