Your Poem:
The day I had been dreading suddenly was here
I bowed my head and blinked my eyes then shed a single tear
He took me in his arms and asked me not to cry
I looked into his saddened eyes and quietly asked him why
The kids they all stood staring they didn’t understand
I felt a warm sensation as my daughter took my hand
She said don’t worry mummy we will still be here
Those words from a little child released another tear
He said I have to go now and I really got upset
He wiped my face and commented that id made his hand all wet
He went to our children and gave them all a kiss
I couldn’t believe the emotions I thought I was prepared for this
We said goodbye and hugged tighter than ever before
By now I was in hysterics as I watched him close the door
I still find myself crying when Im alone at night
And before I go to bed I pray the men don’t have to fight
So if you feel the same way please don’t sit alone
There are many people around you that for comfort you can phone
So lets all worry together and leave nobody out
Its what being married to a soldier is really all about

Your Poem:
Kariamma
Panther foot steps pad close
to her door. The men say, it is time
to divvy up and divide your soul.
We will take, you give according to the political pillow.
The night jar tinkles with patronizing
coins, some slip a hurried hand.
Kariamma wrestles with disgust,
a caste bestowed on her forhead; so beneath other women curled in silk.
In a dream she climbs a ladder upward
and every step cracks before her foot
moves; men and children spit laughing at their freedom to taunt with visual rape.
Her molasse colored legs sweat and divide while clenching a finger around a mangled bed rail; her thoughts weave around her past.
Another leopard is given his cue.
The time bell rang
to hurry their pumping,prodding
pushing and destruction of
Kariamma's dream pillow.

Your Poem:
Poetry is now dead and burried.
My life, empty without colors;
My pen and words lost forever...
Days and nights I weep sad tears
While listening to past poems
Dripped in the bathroom.

Your Poem:
ALL BECAUSE OF CHRIST
Into my heart, HIS light glistens,
Like a diamond I glitter.
In darkness I fear not evil
And in daylight I am joyful.
I am alone but not lonely,
Peaceful and not worried...
Forever he frres me from hardship,
And feed me with courage.
His crimson blood cleanses me from sins
I, a piece of cotton ball, whitens.
With my mouth I utter gold
As he beams,
Knowing I love him;
From my soul words of thanks
Echoe through the earth and heaven
Because what he has done for me.
