I attended Sunshine Elememtary (in the last 3rd grade class taught there) and was transferred to Harlan Elementary. I attended school there until 6th grade. My father "Sarge" Hatfield returned from Vietnam and was transferred. My family returned to Harlan County when "Sarge" retired and i graduated from Cumberland High School in 1974.

I was born in Kenvir Ky in 1944. We moved from Black Mountain when I was 6 years old. My mother's name was Octavia Cloud(maiden) and she married my dad who was Ulis Emmett.He worked in the coal mines. I went to Black Mountain Elementary school first grade. My sister was Kathleen Emmett, and brother's were Jay and Jack Emmett. Would love hearing from anyone that might have known us or our parents. Both of my parents are deceased and I'm trying to find out if I have any relatives still living in Kenvir or Harlan. Thanks
