We have recently aquired 3 nannies and 5 kids, they are truly wonderful to have around. Lola and son Billy are Boer, and my personal favorites. Enjoyed your site!

Hello, I would like some advice about some goats that we have bought & want to sell. Maybe y'all could help. We are new to SW TX & are learning the goat business. Have a good-looking Boer male (looks like those on the Rocking M Ranch website) & a female that is... well, she is brown & white...... They threw a Black Female, on 3/18 that is turning browner every day. We are from FL and have raised cattle, swine, & poultry,,,but this is our first time with goats...Our questions are:
1) are these goats 'worth' any decent dollars?
2) are they of any quality
3) where can we sell them, should we choose to do so?
4) Being in a high population of MExicans - are the babies worth more than the parents? Cabrito......
5) And...at what age is 'appropriate' to remove them from their Mamas for the #4 reason?
6) When the baby IS removed....is there some intervention for the Mama? I don't know .... so I ask.
Thanks for your help and possibly your encouragement.
Our little town is struggling to stay afloat. We want any kind of encouragement we can get.

Greetings from Oklahoma! I was wondering.. How big are your pens? And where do you sell your goats for meat? I am interested in starting with goats.. and I want to make sure I do it right from the start. Any other tips would be MOST welcome!
Elizabeth.
