On hearing that the mighty Millers only had 9 men, Bottesford quickly called today's game off amid fears of a 9 men went to mow beating. Preserving there average at the top was sufficient to call the game off. Despite the enthusiasm of the recalled Tim Wright and Ian Woolley, the skippers decided to call of the 2nd team game and head for the pub.
Mrs Hardy put on a lovely spread at the Key and it was session on. After deciding to play a new drinking game of a pint per hole with Monty, Bally had to slope off early as he had only had 3 pints and Monty was on the 9th hole. Unable to play catch up he missed the cut and was sent on his way.

As acting captain from Saturday,I'd like to congratulate Geoff Tindsley on his maiden century. One of the finest knocks of the season.......although he was given out lbw when on about 20 and then got recalled ! Well Done to the rest of fellas for a fine performance , which at least guarantees the Stiffs not going down again for the third season running !
