I am seeking anyone who may be related to Robert Evans who I believe came to Lewis, N.Y. from Dolgellau, Wales, sometime during the second half of the 19th. century.

Doing Doyle Family genealogy research and looking for information on the settlement of Trout Pond, just north of Lewis. Is there any historical information on Trout Pond? My great grandfather, John Doyle moved there from Canada with his parents in 1846 and lived there most of his life. My grandfather, Edward Doyle was born in Lewis in 1874.
