I just watched the video clips and your Soke was a very skilled man. There are many levels of awesome in his execution. I am so impressed that if it were possible I would join your school. I was hoping to opt instead to buy your dvd's but the link to your store was dead. I hope this is only a glitch and not indicative of your school or Ryu going under or having difficulties in these hard times. I wish you all much success and happiness in the future.

Blessings! I was blessed by having the oportunity to study with shihan Pereira in the late 1980s. Currently I teach Tae kwon do and self defense at George Mason University part time. I am a Deputy Sheriff in Prince William Conty, and by the way, I still have my old miyama Gi. God Bless

I was saddened to read about Shinan Pereira passing in 1999.
I first went to the DOJO at the age of 13 to try it out. I left and later returned again going to the DOJO off and on working it around my changing schedule.
The week I was supposed to go for my Black Belt my son was born and I haven't returned that was 28 years ago.
I have a lot of good memories from the time spent at the DOJO.
To this day I still remember a lot of my training and I owe it to Shinan Pereira.
Again although I'm 10 years late I just want to convey my condolences to his family. He was truly a Master and Great Teacher.
