Over the last 10 years I started my model building hobby again and I am quite proud of the way some have turned out. Now, that I am older, we are going to move from a house to an apartment. Any ideas on what to do with excess models? I really don't want to scrap them and as you know they would be very fragile to move. Great models on your page.

Like your site.
Check out my father's models.
He gets the little plastic models and draws larger plans from them to make the models from scratch.
His are about 1/8th scale.

I appreciate your web-site. I needed some helpful hints on weathering my aircraft and you provided me with excellent information. Now, it's off to the modeling bench to try your techniques.
All the Best,

An interesting site. I was in the RAF 78-88 and made models of all the aircraft I was on. Just like the real ones, the models have been scrapped off over the years. I make flying models now - more fun to see them fly ( unless you pile in !!!) One criticism if I may.... whilst a good number of Spitfires went submarine in the Englisgh channel courtesy of the Luftwaffe 1940-1945, they were actually called the 'Supermarine' Spitfire. Nit picky I know but as daft as saying 'a buying B29 Superfortress'. Also, I note that your model of Bader's Spit has standard squadron codes - I have a mkII with the DB code. Do you know when he adopted his personalised code ?

I was in the Air Force in the mid '50's
and once flew in either a B25 or B26 and can't rember which. I do remember that I rode in the rear of the plane and there was no access or tunnel to the forward area where the pilots were. They told me that was one of the differences between the B25 and B26. Do you know which one I flew in?
Thanks, i,ve enjoyed your website.
