what a truly wonderful site, thank you more than you will ever know. i am mum to Molly, my beautiful, feisty, firey, naughty, funny, loving, kind and caring 9 year old preemie, who was born at 23 weeks gestation weighing 1lb 8ozs. I love her so much that words havent been invented yet to describe the feelings i have for her. her struggles have been hard and sometimes brutal, her biggest fight was with ROP, it left her with one 'good' eye and one 'bad' eye, we laugh now, because we are used to her bumping into things "i'm blind as a bat mum' is a frequent comment in our house, Molly can fall off anything, i'm used to her falling over for no apparent reason, because i know the reason is invisible, i am used to her becoming pale and floppy for no reason or becoming exhausted mid-term at school, we just have a couple of 'rest'days and she perks up again. she is perfect in every way from her beautiful red hair, her pointy pixie chin, right down to her beautiful wobbly feet, her hands are pale and her fingers long and elegant, the scars from numerous IV lines are still apparent, but she has achieved so much since her traumatic arrival into this world that i believe the skys the limit for her, although she is going to be an actress, a singer, or maybe a doctor, a fairy princess, a mum, or possibly someone with superpowers, like violet from the incredibles, shes even got the outfit, and she looks pretty cool i can tell you.

My story began 4-1-05.My son and I was at a food store,we had just walked in when something wet ran down my legs ,only 5 months pregnant,I thought it was an accident.Rushing to the bath room hoping and praying I made it to the bathroom without anyone seeing me.As I sat in the bathroom, I knew it was to much coming out to just be,me having a accident.Back at home (because I don't like wet clothes,ha,ha,ha)also not beliving my water just broke,I called my husband and told him my water just broke(of coarse it was april fool's day,so it was hard to convince him I was for real)We rushed to the hospital to find out if what I hoped and prayed wasn't was.April6,2005 Armoni makiah Jones was born by emergancy c-setion at 6:11p.m. weighing 1 pound and 5 ounces. At 22 weeks it is very hard to know that your child could die and there is nothing you can do about it but pray.He fought many infections, death knocked at his door many of times, the second 22 weeker to make it,I'm very proud of my son,my angle,my maricle. He was released from his second home(after 140 days)aug. 23,2005.Armoni now weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces with no problems, just damaged lungs that the doc. say will heal in time.Keep your head up because god knows sometimes you want to give up,but be inspired by your maricle,as little as he was ,he fought to live and now I know there is nothing I can't do in life.He is my hero,my strenght,my joy.

4 weeks ago, i gave birth to my twin boys...i was 28 weeks. my twin, liam, had died at 20 weeks which caused me to deliver the other twin, waylon, early. waylon is doing fabulous in the NICU. he's been off the vent since 5 days old, and is on just a nose canula. going back and forth from 25-30% oxygen. i hold him everyday which is heaven. he has an older sister who is 4 and an older brother who is 5..they want him to come home so badly. he had a small pda but after given endocin, it closed up. his first head u/s at a week old was fine, and he will have another very soon. anyone who is going through the same thing...feel free to email me. oh, and one more tidbit, i was a 28 week preemie as well...over 30years ago. now THAT gives me hope.
