Oh my god! Tom! Why didn't you tell me about the Cote d'Ivoire thing!!!! LOL I can't believe you went that far with it! By the time you were sending pictures to this guy of run-down houses, surely he must have known you weren't sincere and he just continued to play along with you? And the fact that he included 'water balloons, boomarangs and lubricants' as items the office needed, shows me that he finally caught on at that point. And then the demands this guy has for his arrival in the US...a Range Rover for his wife! How could anyone be fooled by him and others like him? Unfortunately, it has happened a few dozen times, particularly to people in Europe. I've been seeing these scams for many years - even before they were sent via e-mail. About 7 years ago, at my last job, we occasionally received a fax with a similar proposal, and one time we received a handwritten letter addressed to my boss. I didn't even bother giving it to her because I knew it was a scam. I think at the time, all the letters came from Nigeria.
