Had a blast from Aug 1961 to April 1963. Work in Hqs 601st. Friends were Hans Conrad, Roger Hott, Scotty Marsden, Roger Demaris, and many more. Rothwestern Rangers Football Team. I think we drank more at the Rod & Gun club than we played. It was a great tour and will never be forgotten. Love to hear from anyone from that era.

I stumbled on this great website, looking for Pruem AS. I was stationed at PAS 78-81, 601st TCS, Ground Radio Maintenance. Spent time at Wasserkuppe, Denmark, and other places on deployment. Now retired MSgt living on Guam. Have already found several folks I knew in Pruem. Would love to hear from others.

I was at Rothwesten from September,
1949 to October 1951 after which I was
transferred to Wiesbaden.
I remember the first sgt Swanner who
was not a nice man!My best friend at
Rothwesten was Sandy Sanfratello from
Batavia, New York. He eventually became
a monk and I have lost track of him. I
believer there was a Buster and a
Jacque stationed there at the same
time, but I seem to have lost track of
all of my Air Force colleagues.

I've enjoyed coming back to this page time after time over the years to see old friends. Like most members, those years with the 601st ACWS were the best memories of all times. I was a DF-Operator at Rothwesten/St. Andreasberg during the period January 1955-59. I wish all of you "My old Friends" God's Blessings.
