I am trying to find folks who served with my Dad, Sp/4 William Kenneth Moore. He may have gone by Billy. He was a truck driver in Company C at Vinh Lon in 1970-1971. I have some of his pictures and the ones he labeled mention these names: Carpenter, Swaney, Trull, Kelly of Maryland, Walker of Ohio, Brewer of Indiana and Creed of North Carolina who was a really good buddy of his. I joined the 36th in May of 68 and went to Co. B. Made the move to Vin Long and then extented to fly slicks for the 175th there in Vin Long. Spent 9 months in the 36th before moving on to the 175th. Anyone out there I knew?

I was with A Co. 36th Engrs. 3rd Shop from 1-12-68 until ETS 2-7-70.I believe I was the first replacement (FNG) in the Battalion. Stayed in Vung Tau (except for short stint at Gia Ray)working on heavy equipment and rock crusher. Anybody remember Sgt. King--he used to work us day and night. We moved to Vinh Long in Dec.68. Spent the next year working on QL4--rock pier--asphalt plant etc. We all worked hard and drank a lot of beer. Good site and a belated welcome home to all.

Served with HHC, 36th En Bn and 515th EN Asphalt PLT, 1971-1972 in Vinh Long. The 36th built some great roads and bridges. My guys made the asphalt and concrete for the 36th. Just found the site. Best Regards.
