I don't believe this! A fella named Melvin Boughton called me out of the blue tonight to ask if I was with the outfit (36th engr.) His wife gave me this Web address which is too good! I was with the 36th from Fort Irwin in 66 to Jan.68. Used to drive to L.A. on weekends with Dempsey and others sucking down Wild Turkey & Scotch. Left Nam just before TET offensive, Pure luck. Spent most of the time in Gia Ray, a little time in Vung Tau I was supposed to be a mechanic? Did any of you drive two 2 1/2 s to Ben Hoa to pick up dynamite and back to Gia Ray? I was one of four, Mike Graves was another. What a ride, nobody wanted us near them one the trip back. Anyway great site thanks. Welcome Home Guys. I feel real good to see this place.
