Hi - I am very thankful to find this site. I, like others, am trying to find some family history. I believe my grandfather was at this orphanage (I'm not even completely sure it was this particular orphanage). Can anyone tell me how to confirm if he was at this orphanage? His name was Alexander Barclay Yeats and he was born in 1900. I don't know exactly when he went to the orphanage but I assume it was very soon. He was there until 1918 when he was send to Canada to start a new life. Any help would be appreciated so much, as I'm sure others on this site can imagine. Thank you Joanne

Dear sir This letter is from the Director of childrens in Africa, pray that we can work Together, www.childrensinafrica.piczo.com Issues facing children in Liberia Liberia’s infant and under-5 mortality rates remain among the five highest in the world. More than 15 per cent of children die before reaching their first birthday. Preventable diseases like malaria and measles are among the leading killers of children. Malnutrition and respiratory infections kill thousands of children each year. Nearly 40 per cent of children under age five suffer from stunting as a result of malnutrition. Nearly 40 per cent of the population does not have access to safe water, and nearly 75 per cent does not have access to adequate sanitation. Statistics show an HIV/AIDS prevalence rate of 5.9 per cent; the actual rate is believed to be higher. Armed conflict, HIV/AIDS and other diseases have orphaned an estimated 230,000 children. Half a million children do not attend school. Two thirds of students are being taught by unqualified teachers. Girls’ enrolment rates lag far behind those for boys. Despite the cessation of fighting, armed forces along the borders with Guinea and Côte d’Ivoire continue to recruit children into their ranks,we are praying for computer, shelp and ect from your mission in canada .. I cringe to share a story like this, and I would not do it if it were not for children like CIA In Liberia. It was hard for me to write this to you. It was hard just to hear CIA's tragic story. But it would be worse if, once having heard it, we turned away and did not reach out to try and help others like this Childrens. Thank you for giving now to Bridge of Hope and its efforts to provide food and care for Acholi children and families! Computer,s ect www.childrensinafrica.piczo.com Thank you! Thanks from Evangelist Titus Allen Sebo
