I was Pipe Major of the Strathroy Legion back in the late sixties and its good to see the legion is still going strong. I finished up Pipe Major of the Highland Fusiliers in Galt but I cant find any trace. Does anybody know what happened to them. Hi my name is Louise. I was browsing throught your web page and i wish to congratulate you for the fine job and professionalism. My husband Rene and I are members at the Branch 372 in Hawkesbury. Also the reason for me browsing in here is because my 16 yrs old son Nicholas Trottier is a member of the 57th Glengarrians Cadet Corps here in Hawkesbury but better known as Vankleek Hill. He is a snare drummer and lead tip of the pipes and drums band. He is presently in Banff, at the Rocky Mountain Training Centre as a drum instructor for the summer. As well my son Nicholas won the Royal Canadian Medal of Excellence for the year 2001-2002 at the Annual Inspection this June. We were very proud of that. And he is also the coordinator for assisting the Lady's Auxiliaries at their monthly card party. He has been doing that for the last 3 years.The corps is very active here with the Branch since they are our official sponsorers and I am very active as the treasurer of the Parents Support Group. We enjoy it a lot. So i thought i would go ahead and sign your guest book and again congratulations for the good work. P.S. The photos are great. Great Photos. I was the Pipe Major that was confined in the wheel chair during Pipefest in Block 56. Had a great time, and hope to run into you again hopefully at Toronto
