I am so glad to find your website. I knew there would be a lot of Dixons out there, but it's still overwhelming. We have not been able to get past Portsmouth Island, NC, for my branch. My grandfather is Phillip Augustus Dixon, Sr., b. 6/3/1875, d. 6/7/1940. My father, Fred Swindell Dixon, Sr., said Grandfather was born on Portsmouth Island. I know he died in New Bern, NC. And, that's where my father grew up. My grandmother's name is Rosa Pleasants, b. 11/14/1880, d. 12/4/1951. I am not clear on where she was born. If anyone out there is looking for Dixons from eastern NC, please contact me. There are some Dixons in Arapahoe, NC, but I don't think I am related to that branch. I found them researching my wife's family: the Tingle and Powell families. Thank you for any help you can provide, and maybe I can help you.

Researching my family history. Interested in Mary Adeline Dixon born in Equality, Ill. 10, Aug. 1862 or 64. Married to George Herbert Proctor in 1883. Her father was William, birth and location unknown.

Wonderful Work !!! Thank you. My g/father was Frank P. Dixon, married Ann Ryan and lived in Shenandoah, PA.; my Dad, also Frank Peter Dixon, born 1901 there and had 9 bro & sis. Lost track of kin in Philadelphia and New Jersey areas. Any info appreciated.
