Want to thank you for your site. I am an active duty Marine SSgt for over 12 years, (3 years as a Drill Instructor), and I am still in awe of my Dad Francis D. Greene and all those who served in Vietnam. I hope to take my Dad to the wall someday and maybe he can pay respect to the brothers he lost and cope with his own internal feelings. I will never forget one item he was allowed to bring home was his helmet liner which showed the powder burn of an enemy round grazing off it, "just one more inch and you wouldn't be here" he used to say. He was also grazed across his back and recieved a purple heart for his actions. I try my best every day to live up to the challenges my Dad faced and only hope I make him proud. I served with artillery in Desert Storm and in Somalia and remember everything my Dad taught me as a kid about hunting- keep your fuckin head down. Thanks for your time, keep up the good work. Dad will be out here hopefully in February to thaw out from the North Dakota winter. He likes to see pictures of the guys he gave everything with.....

Jerry Thank you for all the work you did on Bill Scannell.Just a small story about bill.Bill was my first boyfriend and he went to vietnam and was injured in august of [68] and came home and died of his injuries.Jerry worked very hard to get his name on the wall and he did it.Twenty two years later billy is being given the honor that you all deserve.Thank you Jerry for all you did and hope you will be there for the cermony for billy.You guys and i are the only family he had.Thank you again
