Hello Miss Smith,
I am so sorry to hear your very depressed situation, especially, in this happy festive season. In fact I only can offer my deep sympathy to you. But you are not the only one who has this problem. Many many students out there may be even worse than you. My son will finish his university studies in a few months time and he already owes over £12,000 due to the governments student loan. I suppose our Japanese and Russian student friends also are in the same situation as you. Do come back to the Jos message board to visit us all rather than come over to one place to visit one person.
I hope you have a very bright future and have a successful study.
Best wishes,
From Benly

Happy New Year@Lida Gnezdilova !! I was glad about your message. I spend New Year with my family. Most Japanese people go to shrine and pray to God that we would spend safely in this year. Some of them go to sea or mountain for watching first sunrise of New Year. I am looking forward to getting Otoshidama. It is money that is given to child, young man and girl from parent or relative. We eat Ozouni and Osetiryouri that are Japanese traditional food. My mother is good at cooking them and itfs delicious. Each of family have different taste about it. Ifd like to eat traditional food of around the world. When you come to Japan, Ifd like to try many Japanese food and experience Japanese culture. How do you spend New Year? Thank you for reading.

Hello@Sasha!@Thank you for your message and a Happy New Year. I will try to cook to Ruccian salad. So I tell you about traditional Japanese food.@Japan@has much it. In most houses in Japan, a special dish is eaten in the New Year. It calls it "osechi"(dishes for the New Year). It has various dishes. I like "kurikinton" also in it. It is the candied food of a chestnut. Is a dish special to the New Year eaten in Russia? Is there the restaurant of Japanese food in Russia? I am glad to know the Japanese product is used in your country. Have a nice day! Good bye (#^0^#)

Duane,
I didn't tell you about ALL our holidays. Actually at the end of January we'll celebrate my son's birthday and mine. Well, not all Russia will celebrate our days. But sure, all Jo's board is welcome to join us!!
Haruka, thank you for your students' messages. Where are you, what have you been doing while your students are on vacation?

Natalie - Thank you for explaining about your Christmas and New Years. I learned very much and I did not get tired. I thought I was going to have to take a nap between the 14th and 15th sentences but I drank some coffee and made it through (LOL). I am just kidding. Your story was fine.
I would love to join you in celebrating your holidays as well as mine. In fact, between my New Year, your Old New Year, and Chinese New Year...I may not sober up until Spring!(LOL)
Does your Old Calendar New Year fall on January 13th? That is so interesting to me. Thank you for sharing with us.
