It is a bit quiet isn't it! Sorry, I for one haven't said much lately. I bumped into Benly today. It was nice to see him. Seemed to be very happy and positive about the way his studies are going. I'm afraid I haven't encouraged this year's students to use the board. They seem much more comfortable with email. Some of my current students have started email correspondence with students in USA and Australia, but they're not keen to go public on the message board!

Hello dear friends, I'm missing you all but terribly busy to write anything interesting. So nice to find all of you here: Duane in a friendly mood, always hospitable Jo. But Haruka!!!! Who made you switch on your damn radio every morning with its bad news???!!! Why can't you listen to the pleasant music????!!!!!!!!! To spoil your mood by yourself, early in the morning - are you crazy??!! What for are you doing that?? Let me tell you, Haruka: in my country we always live as on the top of the active volcano, and especially at the end of Gorbachov's and at the beginning Yeltsin's periods. Because of our past realities, many people (including me) were near suicide, true. But one day I made a discover: the less I listen to the radio and watch TV-news, the brighter the world is! And the happier I am. Believe me, it works very well? just try it for some days. Well, dear, don't you understand: the reporters' job is to write something bad to keep the citizens frightened, while your job as a teacher is to bring some happiness to your students. How can you do that, being sad and unhappy?? Wise Solomon said (or find this sign in his ring?), "Everything comes away. And this pain will go away, too". Haruka, it's YOUR mood, so it depends only of YOU, not of someone/something around you! Why are you waiting for a war?? From Russia? Haruka, I hope some of your 200 students will come back and visit the message board because they want to and not because it is an assignment. I personally enjoyed their activity and input. It was very lively and interesting to read their postings.
To my Chinese friends, "Happy New Year" and "gong xi fa cai". Does anyone know what year this is in the Lunar Calendar? I know it's ove 4000 years but I don't remember the exact number. Thanks in advance.
