Jo: I just wrote a long message to the Japanese students and posted it, but it doesn't seem to be on your board. I used the refresh feature and I still could not see it. I was wondering if it will show up later. I will check tomorrow and if it not there, I will write again. Hope you are doing well. I know you are very busy.

Hello, Jo! I was very glad that I got
your answer. Thank you! In Japan, we
can learn to drive at the age of 18.
Your side is earlier than Japan for one
year! I have finished drive training.I
only remain a written test. The written
test is difficult,is't it? There are
many confusing questions. So, I am
solving the exercise now. I do my
best!! Thank you for reading. Good bye!

I have read and enjoyed all your messages and I'm sorry I don't have time to write to each of you individually. I'd like to respond to some of your questions though.
Aya - No! I don't collect dishes! I suppose you mean decorative plates. I think a lot of Enlgish people - older people perhaps - display a lot of china and things like that in their homes. We have a few odd things that we have picked up on our travels but no collections as such and nothing much that's typically British! (Actually, I don't think I know anybody who collects plates...!)
Ayako - yes, Southampton is a port and it has seen some very famous ships come and go (possibly the most famous was the Titanic). I've lived here for about 9 years now. I can't believe it's so long!
Junko - good luck with your driving licence. How old do you have to be to legally drive a car in Japan? Here you can learn to drive at teh age of 17. I passed my driving test first time when I was 17 but the shameful truth is that I couldn't pass it again now if I had to. Now new drivers have to pass a theory test before they can take the practical (I am glad I didn't have to do that becuase I treid a sample test on te Internet recently and failed!!!)

Thank you, Jo. When I first saw the two pictures JJo's street" and JThis is the next street" I think that it kept in good condition and the sidewalk is very cleanly. It is strange, the parking zone are in front of the houses. In Japan, the case is traffic violation. And on the street, there is not center line. The houses are lovely! There chimneies on the roofs. Red roof and outside wall is beautiful.

Thank you, Jo! I saw "Jo's Street " and
"this is the next street" in the photos
of Picture Gallery. I thought you
living in the place of good
environment. There is no high building
in the surroundings and it is because
sunny is good. I am just going to be
going to take the driver's license now.
I am using an almost public means of
transportation. But I can drive a car
soon! It is very impatient!! In the
meantime, I said that I kept the
rabbit. However, I forgot to say the
name of a rabbit. Her name is "ToTo"!
Her hobby is gnawing!! Thank you for
reading. Good bye!

Thank you,Jo! I saw your picture gallery. Your town is lovely! Roof's color and wall's color are almost same. And design of their houses are almost same too. I think your town is been unity by them. On the other hand, Japan is not been unity. Because we can build our favorite house. And recently, many condominium are founded. House of first floor, house of second floor, low apartment houses, high condominium... there are many building in Japan. they are jumble. So my town do not see lovely and nice like your town. I want to live in beautiful town in the future. Thank you!
