My dictionary describes "hunk" as a noun and defines it as "a large piece, lump, or slice of bread, meat, etc. Poor Genna....she must be hungry. Can anyone spare a slice of bread for Genna?

Hello, Timothy. This is my third message in response to your query. Somehow my previous messages failed to get through. We'll have Emperor's Birthday on Dec. 23 and New Year's Eve , New Year's Holidays as national holidays. Not being Christians we won't have holidays for Christmas. Hope it helps you.

Dear Benly,
Thank you for your always kind messsages. May I ask you to send me some slang words and expressions which are the most popular among the British youth? Perhaps they are not quite slang, just many young people use them. Actually in Russia not only the teens use kind of slang, but all, even teachers:)
What about GB, the USA, Japan?

Hi Timothy. I'm sure someone will help you out here. Haruka, are your students around at the moment or have they gone off on holiday again?! I seem to remember last year our Japanese friends told us they send New Year cards with a picture of the animal that represents the year. They also have a 'coming of age' day in January I think. Let's hope they can tell you some more! Perhaps our new Russian friends could tell us about their celebrations too?

Hiya, Jo! I found your message board while searching the information superhighway for "Japanise Holidays" and I came across this message board! I am posting this message because I am in a fix (problem) and need a solution. You see, everyone who cares to read, I have to do a report for one of my teachers. Theme: "International Holidays and Observances". I have decided to do it on a Japanise holiday, but I need some information. Please, if anyone cares, post a message and help me out. I need some info on any Japanise holidays months December-January. PLEASE?

Hello Maki,
My name is Vitaly. I study at Law College. I know that this year in Japan was Football Cup. But Russia couldn’t win the prize.
In December in Russia ski race will be. Japanese cars are very popular in Russia. They are very good and comfortable.Though the wheel is on the right side and it is inconvinient for us. Russian nature is very beautiful. It is very snowy and beautiful outside. What does nature in Japan look like? What are your interests?
Look forward to hearing from you.
