I saw your site on the Fancher Cemetary, and was pleased to learn about it. I remember finding an Ira, and will look him up again. Was there any names that you could read on the stones? Thank-you for your beautiful presentation... very interesting Also, I grew up with a David Ladd in Charlotte, in Rochester, NY. We lived on Sheppler Street. I don't know what happened to him, we lost track over the years.

My line of descent is: Daniel, Samuel, Nathaniel Corliss, Henry, Nathaniel, Anson, Austin, Allen Dexter, Mary... all from the second Nathaniel who stayed in Vermont until their death. I would love to have more information on this line of the family. Mary

Alan, What a wonderful idea. Last summer Jim Ladd organized and held the first Ladd reunion in New York. Most of the Ladds involved had originally landed in NY due to the Erie Canal. I hope you will contact Jim, Jasladd @ email.msn.com., as he will be of great help in your endeavor.

I have information about the McLean, NY graveyard that I can share with you. I will need some time to put it together for you. I have some photos of gravestones too. My Grandfather Carl Edwin Ladd and his parents & family and various other relatives are buried there. McLean NY is east of Ithaca NY. There is much to say and not enough time to do work, take care of family and get possessed by the genealogy tasks. I will deliver even if it takes me awhile. Dan Ladd

Alan, great job. I love the pictures of Great Gramma (Mary Jane or "Jennie") Ladd. I have seen only one previously. I am Clyde and Marion Ladd's granddaughter.

Thank you for putting this site up. I will follow your progress. My gg-grandfather was John L. Ladd. In the early 1800s he was in Grant Co., Wisconsin. He reported to the census that he was born in New York. We have not been able to make any connection there. Great website. But, I was wondering if these Ladds have any releation to the Ladds of Roane County, Tennessee. If so, I have lots of information on gravesites around there.
