I fucking love playing in R-DUBB-C. That was an awesome show last night. thanks to everyone who came, im glad we ended up with some new heads watching us. Light This City also sounded AMAZING. Like i had told ben, high five on that show. fo sho. now for no apparent reason, except for maybe to clear up any future questions...

Last time we played at the Fair Oaks Community Center (not last night, drr, but the time before) we were not allowed to play on the floor for liability issues. This show was the same way. There was at least 6 of those mid-life crisis guys with all black security t-shirts walkin around with walkie talkies, and apparently 2 people who ran that show didn't even believe that laura (singer of light this city) could possibly be in a band cuz she was a girl...? two words, kids: FUCKED UP. but i think laura handled that problem on her own, cuz shes fucking metal like that. Now, i hate community center shows run by City people who don't even like most of the music, and the only reason they do it is for some extra overtime cash. This was my main reason for the way i acted back at mitchell park, this was why i was upset about the floor rules at fair oaks. However, despite the lack of moshing/hc dancing, and floor playin, i've reached a decision. Whether or not we like it, fair oaks is a center in our born-n-mutha-fukkin-raised hometown of redwood city, and it hit me, drrr... COMMUNITY. Their idea of community is different from mine, but i believe i can apply mine as well in that with all the rules, we still were able to play there, and im thankful, and MY community of all you kids in this scene showed up, and im thankful, and we all played well, from bands who rarely play to bands that play weekly, and im thankful. I might hate the ethics of the City community center shows, but really, we have fun, and it keeps the music alive, therefore it keeps a majority of us alive. so despite people and whatever, it all boils down to one fun show = FUCK YEAH MUTHA FUKKAS!

note: when i say CITY shows i dont refer to Half Moon Bay Community Center, and certain places, for they are run by dedicated lovers of our (the scene's) music. Sorry for the long post, i know i know... it aint my online journal. peace.

!!!RedWoodCity FEST!!!......fuuuuuck, if you haven't heard about this yet, coooome on, get on the boat........this saturday. Dec 20th. at the Fair Oaks Community Center (2600 Middlefield Rd.) in RedWoodCity. the show starts at 3:00pm and is like 8 HOURS LONG!!!...the best part, it's only $5!!! $5 for 15 bands...that's pretty chill...the bands that i know are playing are.....light this city, fallout shelter, heartcrosslove (those 3 bands start around 7pm)....and then...like Joy's Panic is playing, 3 Prayers (i think)...maybe a guest appereance by Menudo is in the works, i dunno, you'll have to come to find out!!! peace :)
