Hey, also a former camper (87-90)
and I stumbled upon this site. I have
some choice words for Paul
Silverman but I will refrain, as I don't
want to get anyone in further trouble...
I agree with Paula (do I know you?)
that taking the logo off would
probably solve this issue. Anyway,
nice site, it was a good idea, and
good luck.

Hi you guys... I was never a counselor at Kippewa, but I was a camper summers 1986-1992 - and Kippewa still holds a special place in my heart. I think your site is great and it sucks that Paul wants you to take it off the net. Some advice (I am in law school) - take the "Kippewa For Girls" logo off the site and then there is no "trademark Infringement" issue. Also write somewhere on the homepage that it is not an "official" Kippewa website.
Good luck to you - I am glad to see that people are still enjoying Camp Kippewa. My summers there were some of the best of my life.
:) Paula

I am dismayed and disheartened to hear that you have been asked to remove this site for supposed violations of copyright laws. It seems strange that the owners of the camp would want to remove a site that shows the comradeship and good nature of their dedicated employees. Similarly, to request the removal of a website constructed by a dedicated employee, who was moved enough by his experience at the camp to be motivated to commit his time and resources to such a project is mean. There has never been anything negative on the site, and if anything, this website is an asset to the camp. How many other camps in the world can boast of web pages developed by their former employees? I hope the owners of the camp reconsider their request for the removal of the site and not restrict the ability of past employees to keep in touch with each other and to continue sharing their great experiences of Camp Kippewa!

Hey! Is everybody doing fine? Did you know that you are visiting an illegal site. According to Paul Silverman this site is a "tradmemark infringement against Kippewa for Girls" and I am supposed to remove the site from the internet. Isn't that ridiculous?!? Any other comments?
