Another Deg fan reporting in. *bare with me* I have read all the six pages, and I wholeheartedly agree that most of these entries have been incredibly rude. All this could have been put in a much nicer way. However, Deg 'fans' who are oh-so ashamed and embarrassed, seem not to notice the wood for the bushes. These costumes are Die's trademark and they are copyrighted. What we have here is not cosplaying or 'influence', it's another band taking credit for other's originality and eventually making success in USA based on someone else's work. Not giving credit is WRONG, even if it is only for an influence. I agree that Deg probably won't send out the lawsuits for this, but Peppermint Creeps should be aware that it hasn't passed unnoticed. Signing your guestbook is a least painful way to do that, don't you think ? Oh yes, try and rip-off any of Madonna's styles and perform it in public, if it's so benign!

I figured I'd check PC out before I say anything else, and I really don't like the style of music they play. I'm not saying they're bad, it's just not anything *I'd* listen to. They sound *a bit* like super-indies AFI, but a bit more poppy.

im a dir en grey fan, and i have to agree that most of the deg fan base is mostly rabid whiny stupid ignorant girls who think toshiya is the greatest bassist alive (as in better in SKILL, like flea). i feel bad for them, since theyre only making themselves look retarded in front of the WWW. then again, i dont like the peppermints. i could care less about the costumes. unlike most deg fans, i actually listen to the music and occasionally play their songs on guitar. im talking about how shitty the peppermints are, with their way-to-simple-even-for-punk music. then again, i never liked punk in the first place... -_- still, this band is the epitome to me. other bands i can handle, but this...?

Now, if it was such a huge deal, I think ID-Japan would've heard about it and come down on your asses by now. Have they? Didn't think so. Fangirls, please... Well, I'm a Dir en Grey fan, and I came here to see what all the fuss was about... Honestly, I don't see it. Yeah, OK, there's a vague similarity. Vague. Very vague.
