My Grandfather was Peter Andrew Basgal B: 11/30/1877 My Grandmother Annie Kloster Basgal B: 1/11/1878 My Father John Basgal 12/3/1906 born in Marienburg, Russia, came to America in 2/1907. My Great Grandfather was John Basgal died when Peter was abt 12 yrs old. 2/7/1886. My G grandmother was Mary Anne Schmidt. She Married 3 more times in Russia, husband's all died. She went to S.America and Died, 5/12/1916, name Byers. My Great grandfather Baldy Kloster Married Frances Mary Bennett. If anyone has information please email me. Sharon

My grandmother Elizabeth Fischer Lechman, daughter of Peter and Margaret Engraff Fischer was born in Bisuik (Marienberg), Dec 13, 1891. Her siblings were Catherine, Clement, Adam and Alyouis. Elizabeth married John Lechman about 1910 and came to America in 1911. She was the mother of 8 children, the youngest is my mother Irene. Elizabeth died Dec 31, 1963 in Dubuque, IA. Anyone with any connection to the Fischers from Marienberg, please contact me.

A very informative site. Information did not have. My parents left Pavlodar Siberia in 1919, They went to Lager lechfeld Germany and to Lancaster PA in 1923. They were Mennonites from Danzig and Elbing W Prussia. The family names were Neustaedter,Kruger,Loewen, Riediger Schpansky,Regehr,Fast,Reimer. Their Russian Kolonies were Memrik, Molotschna, Ufa,Crimea.My grandfather was a Schmiede and toolmaker.
