WOW. Its not me. I've been married to a BPD for over 7 years. We have 2 children now. I've tried to leave twice. Its hard especially with children. She is rougher with our first than with me it appears. God help me if she goes after the new one like the first. How did you get out and feel good about it? How do you do it with children and get custody?

My Biological mother has BPD. I have struggled with her behavior for 19 years, mostly silently and without outside validation. Realizing that she has never and will never love me was one of the most difficult things I have ever faced. Children of BPDs need outside support and validation. At a young age I felt that I was the cause of the behavior. Reading stories made me feel less alone and helped me understand what I was facing. I felt violated that no one ever recognized the problem, and no one ever told me about BPD. I just knew something was terribly wrong. Thank you for telling your story--every bit of validation helps.

Hi there and congratulations on the
continued success of your site!
Just wanted to tell folks to drop by my
nonBP resources site if they want to
learn more about the disorder -- your
"Trip to Oz" is one of the FIRST things
I always recommend reading to
brand-new nonBPs.
Good work, as always!

I am in a relationship with a young woman who is a BPD. What a trip. A freind of mine gave me the book "I hate you, don't leave me", and it has opened my eyes to quite a number of things. I want to know more. I love this woman, and it breaks my heart to watch her go through this. I want to have as much understanding as possible. Maybe this will help enlighten me further.
