I appoligise in advance if this turns out long winded. As a member of the Human Race I would like to start by saying that this is indeed a great tragedy to the entire planet. To think in this day and age that we have yet to over come such senseless violence. As a Damn proud citizen of the United States Of America, I would like to say, that no matter what these terrorists may have thought they were doing, they were sadly mistaken and in my opinion misguided. If they thought that such an act of cowardice would sway world opinion in their favor or if they felt this would cripple the USA as a nation, I say again, THEY ARE SADLY MISTAKEN. As a former service member of the US Army Military Police Corps and a Paratrooper, I would like to say to those persons responsible for this cowards act, as it has been said before, “YOU HAVE AWAKENED THE SLEEPING GIANT”, and as history will tell you, this will turn out to be your biggest mistake, for the last time this was done, the USA jumped into WWII with head and feet. Well this time, we are going to jump into you with the MIGHTY US’ HEADS AND FEET! If I could have my way I would return to service gladly to assist in the response you are about to receive. I would also like to say DAMN YOU for this awakening! DAMN YOU for all that you have done! DAMN YOU for the lives you have taken! DAMN YOU for the lives you will force us to take! DAMN YOU, DAMN YOU, DAMN YOU! I would like to address everyone with this next bit. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS. To all those who are feeling that they need to lash out or get even, Please, PLEASE, remember that you cannot judge a people by the actions of a few. You cannot judge an entire Race or Religion for what a few do. If you think that all Arab countries should be leveled for this act, I ask that you look in your own backyard before you judge. I ask you to look at those responsible for the Oklahoma Bombing. Do you Judge all Americans by what they have done? No you do not, so do not do this now. The man who runs the local deli whom you were friendly with before is still the same nice man he was before this terrible act. He is also torn up inside, just as you are about this entire ordeal. Go to him and do not look on him as the enemy, because he isn’t. He is just as American as you or I. He may have come from another country, but then again, there are not many people in the USA who did not originate in another country. So please, PLEASE stop looking at anyone who looks a certain way like they could be the next one to do Harm to you and yours. The bottom line is, they are not the ones who have done these things. Our government will deal with those responsible. I as an AMERICAN will back our President in his decisions. I would also like to point out that this is not just an attack on the people of the USA, but rather this is an attack on a great many countries and in my opinion the World. It was not just Americans whose lives were lost on this tragedy but many counties people. THE WTC has on average 150,000 visitors on any given day. Many of them tourist from abroad, so as I said before this affects the entire world. To the Families I would like to say, you are in my heart and the heart of my family. Your loss is felt by the world and myself. My only wish is that you can continue with your lives and know that you are not alone. May you all be blessed.
