Well, 15 May passed and no celebration in SF for the 50th anniversary of the inaugural Southern Cross route flight, so I raised a VB myself to the airline with "the big rat on the tail". I remember the 4 years in London as Aircrew Personnel Officer with affection.

What a wonderful thing John Travolta's doing. My Dad, Bert (George Herbert) joined Qantas in 1945 and retired in 1973.What we called the "Golden Years". Sadly he passed away15/4/2004 and didn't see the Johns' B707 himself,although he did get to see his other beloved plane,the Super Connie.
One day I hope to see John's plane myself to relive not only my Dad's life in the office but also my childhood memories. A truly beautiful plane.

I'm fairly new to the computer business and I am having some trouble getting registered. Perhaps it's because I turned 74 yesterday. I joined a Training School at Rose Bay about mid1952 and spent around 4 years with Qantas. Incidentally Pat McGann was very helpful getting me into the job.One of my main claims to fame was that I flew for almost two years with John {he Jeep} Underwood.
