Your dad was commanding officer of the 20th TAC Hosp Sqdrn. & my CO. His orderly room office was on the opposite side fo the hospital from my outpatient clinic duty station so I rarely saw him. However, one Sunday evening I was hooking up a water trailer to a field ambulance for a Monday alert. I lifted the trailer tongue too high, all the water rushed to the rear of the tank, trailer ends up on its back end, tongue pointing straight up. I was pulling the tongue down with the ambulance winch when your dad drove into the parking lot catching me red handed in a very dumb situation. He told me to let the motor pool guys fix things. He looked like he was trying very hard to stifle howels of laughter. Rex Newby A2c medic Ret. 1962-1965

Hi just updating my email; hi i am looking for Bob and Sandra Macdaniel/Mc daniel who were stationed at raf Wethersfield late 60's early 70's, they are my godparents ,my mother was Josie Farrant and she had/has a sister called Marie, we all lived in Steeple Bumpstead, sadly my mother passed away in 1970 and i was adopted, i am looking for my natural father and believe they may be able to help me in my search, i was reunited with Marie over 20 years ago, and from info given believe my fathers name to be Wayne, he was a Canadian in the USAF and stationed at RAFW in 66-68 maybe?? i would appreciate any help anyone could give me as RAFW seemed to be a pretty tightknit community back then, thank you....

Thanks for a special blessing. I have enjoyed reading each and every post. My dad was assigned to "The Patch" from 1959-1963. Joe (my dad) played on the baseball team, I think was asigned to the medical side of the base. I attended the junior high and lived off base in Sible Hedingham. Daddy kept us somewhat removed from the "goings-on" of military life; so my memories are somewhat limited of the "patch" and people. I do know this-that daddy's life was the military and He loved the people of the "patch" It was his last station as he retired from there in 1963. He was laid to rest in Barancas at the age of 51 from a military related illness. I would love to hear from anyone that may have known my dad, as I really didn't "know" him, as often is the case of children, raised in the military. I recall a few names of classmates from the "patch" Greg Hart, Sally Cox, and Paula ? My teachers Ms Jewett and Ms Hudson. May God bless you where ever you are.
