My faimly was stationed at RAF Wethersfield from 1959-1962. My father was M/Sgt Lonzo J. "Bit"Jones. He worked in Supply down by the flight line. We lived at Mushroom Farms from Sept.'59 till March '60. We then moved to the new base housing. I have some pictures I will be glad to share with the site. I was in 9th grade with Cherie Farmer, Connie Fleece, Patt Eggersdorf, Kearny Baker, Dawn McFee, Deanna Martin, Tommy Thompson, Jodie Littfield Robert Skags amd Robert Perkey. I would love to hear from anyone who lived at Wethersfield. My dad retired to Montgomery, Al. This is a great site and brings back a lot of wonderful memories. Fran Jones Wills

So wonderful to see something on the net about wonderful Wethersfield. My father, Capt. Howard Farmer was assigned to the 20th Field Maint Sqdn and we lived in Gt. Bardfield. We were stationed there from 1957-1961. I will be happy to hear from anyone who worked with my father or who knew me or my older sister, Carol. My parents are living in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Pop retired in 1978.

Stationed at RAFW from Sept 79 - Jun 83. Worked in Electric Shop. Did many of the racket ball courts / NCO Club at Ankara, Turkey. Was the Scoutmaster and Paul Burr (Red Horse Supply)was my assistant. Wife Jackie worked at MWR as Youth Director. Worked the Bowling Alley/Child Care.

This is perhaps a shot in the dark but what the heck, i'll give it a try. I picked up an aluminum clock about 3" square. The center of the dial says Sabre 1000. The upper left corner has 500, the upper left has 750, lower left has 1250, and the lower right has 400H. Anyone out there have any idea if this has anything to do with Sabre Jet.
