I just wanted to learn a little about the ship we sank in 2001 as a follow-on to Tandem Thrust 01. As the JOOD onboard CHANCELLORSVILLE that day it was sad to see us destroy a former USS. I can understand how saddening it must be to know she has been sunk off of Australia, as I'm sure the day will come when I find out CG62 has been used for target practice.

I served on the reeves from june 2 1985 (my b-day) till april 87. was et3. the first and only ship i served on in my 8 1/2 years in the military. have corrensponded with lt rawlins, et2 warren chinn ( who i just found out lives only 40 minutes away form my home). served in guam and ftc as iff instructor got out et1. now farm hogs back in n.c. still have great memories of the only cruiser in town!!!
