If you're going to Europe then you ought to seek out some Calcipitrol or Tacalcitol (Tacalcitol is what
cleared up the German patient's DSAP but is not available in the US). The European versions are
slightly different than the American version Dovonex.

I have had this discusting condition since I was in my late twenties. Now 52, like the rest of you I have tried all the above mentioned treatments and more to no avail. I keep my skin exfoliated and moisturized and use a little spot concealer if there is redness. I really appreciate this site and am going to check out tacalcitol because of what I learned here today. We are going to Italy and Turkey soon. Does anyone have information if I can get it there and if so is the topical over the counter of script?
Thank you

I to have DSAP. I've had it for about 20 years with no improvemnt. I did recently see an article in the news paper about an experimental drug called Dimeericine which is a bacterial enzyme that proves to be highly promising for people with skin cancer. It is a form of gene therapy. Could this be the magic lotion that we have been waiting for? Has anyone heard of it?

I am 56 years old and have had
DSAP for at least 25 years. Nothing
works on it per my experience,
including Retin A. I have a question
you may be able to answer.
I have an old spot that I have
managed to scratch enough to turn it
brownish. I noticed yesterday that a
ring has formed around it. The "ring"
is semi-whitish barely noticable.
Have you ever seen such an effect?

THANKS CARL FOR A GREAT SITE !!!!
Together, through combined knowledge and trial and error, we can combat DSAP to a higher level. My Derm froze around 15 spots with Nitrogen and it just created dark red larger spots. It almost appears like it flattened and increased the size. The Derm said it would go away in three weeks. It has been four months and no change. All of my activities involve outdoors in Sunny Florida. This DSAP does not appear to like that lifestyle. I will keep you updated on anything I find that works.

I am 31 and this year is the magic year for my DSAP to surface. It wasn't a slow evolution. I spent one weekend at the beach and hundreds of small lesions appeared on my forearms and legs. Most of them small, but around 20 red inflamed ones. My father has DSAP so I had an idea of the problem.
