Jeff: If you would have put this much time and energy into your job instead of bitching and complaining about everything and everyone else, I would bet you not only would still be working, but would have eventually been promoted for all the right reasons. I have been following your path since the point of your departure and its sad to see how it has affected you. I suppose if I looked at things as you do, I too would point the finger at management. However, from watching it all slowly take place up to your release, I can honestly say that you brought 100% of it on yourself. By the point you were asked to leave, you could not have been more inflexible and pessimistict. You were also a complete pain in the ass to work as a result of your endless negitivity. The bottom line is you became an obstacle to success and a stable, neutral work environment. You thought you had all the answers and knew it all. You built yourself up in your head only, and let everything else, including your work ethic, comments, and attitude toward the company and your fellow employees suffer. Towards the end of your career, you really hit rock bottom. Your negativity and disrupting vocal comments about everything and everyone made you single yourself out as an outsider. I was there and heard it all for years and I am telling you that you were way off base. You took things farther then they should have gone in your thinking process. Management was not out to get you, nor do they, or should they operate according to your vision. You work for them remember? People often told you that you were way out there, but like everything up to that point, YOU CHOSE not to listen. You did not hear us Jeff. I hope that you have learned from this experience and applied it to all of your life. I have learned from it too Jeff. I have learned to be sure I do not fall into the same trap as you did in failing to be flexible, open minded, and willing to change on all levels. The world is a much different place. It is out with the old and in with the new. You either fit in or you do not. You either pull your weight or sink from it. You either add value or you don't. You focus on the positive or making things better to the best of your ability everyday or get swept away by the negative. You either continually try or you give up. You either move with change or are knocked over by it. You were everything listed above that someone should not have been in your position. I know it is hard to believe all of this when you feel you are right, but believe me Jeff, your not. You have to admit it at some point. Everyone makes mistakes. If there is any management blame to be laid, I would say the management failed you if they did not bring all these shortcomings up to you. Knowing the people you worked for, I would be inclined to think they had as they are very vocal and direct people and believe in candor. Leave it all as a valuable learning experience. Let it all go, walk away and move on....FINALLY. You have been your own worst enemy for a long time. Others on this site or the message boards may encourage you to continue the "fight" but you are only fighting and defeating yourself in the struggle. These people who support you are misguided too. Most have found themeleves in the same place as you, on the outside wondering why me. Have they asked why not me? You are sharp, when you want to be. You also have many outstanding qualities about you. You also have many bad ones, as most people do. You however let these bad traits control your thoughts, focus, words, and actions. I hope you eventually recover, get it together and get back on course. You have to let go in order to do this. Anything less, you will remain stagnent. I will not be surprised if you do move on and succeed. I also will not be surprised if you don't and remain stubborn, inflexible and continue to blame everyone but yourself forever. Wishing you well in all that you do, personally and professionally. A former working associate

Thanks Mo. I hope that someday you are able to have a similar experience. And Mo, you sound like the type of carbon form who could care less about its career.

Seapum, You seem bitter, yet classically witty. A progressive CEO ought to hire you away from whomever you work for and get you to "clean-house". I'm retired, but I can tell you that people are listening! Keep up the good work young man.
