Great Site. I'm trying to track birth of John Warpole Bate abt 1851 supposedly in Wadebridge, he was the son of Walter Bate & Elizabeth Johns who were married in Egloshayle 1830. Also trying to locate death of Walter Bate 1851-1861. Elizabeth died in 1871 in St Breock. Other names from Egloshayle, St Kew & St Breaock that I'm researching are Eyre, Bear, Brown, Blake, Davy, Cock & Row.

Great site!!! My research involves Thomas LEAN (chr. Nov. 16, 1777 Egloshayle) who married June 6, 1801 St. Breock to Elizabeth Buscomb (chr. March 25, 1775 St. Breock). Thomas was the son of Robert Lean (1734-1805) and Mary Warne. Mary's birth and parentage remain mysteries. Robert and Mary's first child was named James Warne Lean. James was not a Lean name. Was Mary's father James Warne?
Elizabeth Buscomb was the daughter of John Buscomb (d. 1799) and Mary Key. John was the son of John. This information from a document at the Courtney Library. However, I cannot find these John Buscombs in the St. Breock registers. Mary Key? There is a Mary christened 1740 but John and Mary had a daughter Margaret christened 1791. That would make Mary 51 years old, highly unlikely. Any help or suggestions are most welcome.
