I was bitten 4/1/02. 27 and counting, the number of ulcers, only 3 requiring surgery. Was told by one doc that white tails are harmless! Not as bad as Helen's but bad enough!

I was admitted to hospital in 1991 (I think) with what doctors later came to believe was a white tail spider bite. The affected foot healed quite well, although I suffer oedema frequently. The foot has never returned to its original size. By the way, your questionaire link is broken.

Bitten by what I believe to have been a white-tailed spider 22/12/01. Am recovering - not major like helen's - no nausea or breathing problems. Blisters, swelling and pain to the bite site on the foot. Can now wear shoes 4 weeks later.
