I knew Tiny only for a few months but knew his children and wife really well. To all the people who think Tiny was such a bad person, you don't know the man we knew.Tiny was a goodhearted person.I watched him tattoo several people including my boyfriend and he was always fun to be around. My thoughts and prayers are Always with Renee, Jesse, and Ben because they are like my second family. I love you all very much!!

I don't believe that Tiny's traffic violations and minor infractions were enough to warrent death. Many of us carry a gun. Many of us tip a beer before going home. And most of us, at one time or another, have passed a car in a no passing zone. Does that warrent a death penelty? Damn, I hope not. I think, personally, that young officer Coe needs a serious lessen.

As I sit here and read what everyone has to say about my brother; my heart aches with pain for those who judge him as a bad person for not stopping and my fills with joy that so many people saw the same loving man that I too saw. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and what has happened and not a day goes by that I don't think about Renee, Jesse, and Ben. I love you guys just as much as I loved Gerald. I will never forget my loving good hearted brother and I know that one day we will be with him again and on that day we will never leave each other side again. Even through there were 10 years between us; We were close at heart and as I sat at a West Carteret football game last night (as I did for all of his games) there was a sign of peace that he was there with me. Gerald, I know you are looking down at all of us and want you to know that I LOVE YOU!!! and NO ONE WILL EVER TAKE THAT AWAY. YOUR LOVEING SISTER KIM

Can I ask a question? Why is it that some people want to keep slandering my dad? He's not here anymore and all it is doing is hurting my family as if we aren't in enough pain. Besides the fact Coe never knew any of this stuff when he killed my dad, things just happened to fall his way. For, about the past two years or so my dad, was trying to talk me into being a cop. Yes, that's right a cop. He said "since you can drive exellent for your age." But the second thing he told me was "you just can't judge someone from their appearance." Now do those words seem like those of a crack-crazed, unstable man. I think NOT. If not for my dad I would have never played football, I've been playing since I was in second grade and dad's been there. I would've never starting working out. Most importantly I would never give a perfect stranger a ride home. About a three days after dad died I was coming home and I seen a man walking, so I stopped a gave him a ride home. About, a minute into the ride to his house, the man said "the last man to give me a ride home and to help me out was that Tiny guy that just got killed." I looked at the man and said "that was my dad." Now tell me my dad didn't care about everyone. My dad was the MAN of man's. Dad would give you his last dollar and the clothes off his back. Even if it meant him starving or freezing. My dad was what we all seek for in life, a "true friend" which most never find. If you knew my dad then you had that true friend. Todd, Deb, Fish, Dan, and all the other countless people who are helping us out in this time of need, if not for people like you where would this world be today, THANKS from the bottom of my heart. All of you are welcomed to the Abney house at any time. As sister said we know these are just comment and opinions, and some do upset us but that's life. I just ask that no one comments without knowing both sides of the story. The truth will come out in the end. DAD I LOVE YOU AND I MISS YOU!!! I KNOW YOU WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER US AND KEEP US SAFE AS YOU ALWAYS HAVE!! I just ask don't let this happen again and don't let my dad die in vain. I LOVE YOU DAD!!! BEN

Owning a harley AND being the sister of a cop--gives me views on both sides. Now we've all been there, gotten on a bike with a few beers or whatever else in our system when we shouldn't have. But cops do have responsibilities, too, and its not like the cop was in pursuit of a murder suspect. Sounds like a big testosterone battle to me--on both sides. The biker paid for his mistake with his life--doesn't make sense to let the cop just walk away. It's poor judgement in situations like this that broaden the gap of respect between bikers and the police. The cop--at the very minimum--should lose his job. He's already proved that he can't handle his job under pressure. How many chances is this cop going to get?
