I am a gay survivor of 9-11. My best friend is Patriia McAneney who is on your site. To me, she was one of the greatest heros. She was my best friend, confidant, conscience and strengh. There will NEVER be anyone as honest, sincere, gentle & caring as she. I miss her. Thanks

Thank *YOU*.. You see, I was there too.. and reading through your site can be painful but emotions I feel shouldn't be denied.. I had planned on signing your guest book if I did indeed come across one in my reading, but then I felt a little funny once I'd scrolled down the page and saw the pictures of my co-workers & myself from NYPD in the Advocate article. This whole E Mail @ 9/11 made me cry several times during the course of my reading it, top to bottom. There are many parts I have to continue with and I will, but I had to sign in here at this point because I have been so moved, upset, and proud! Thank you for making this available, it has touched my life and will continue to do so throughout my life.

I am Anthony Karnes's nephew. I wish to remember him as a man who enjoyed life and whatever was handed to him. I realized he was gay without my family telling me, but I never felt hatred. Most people question their sexuality at one time or another, but I know how he and John Winters felt, and I hope their time together was very very happy.
