I am 28. When I was 13 I came home with my father to find my step mother in the back yard, she had hung herself from a tree. I now suffer from post traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety, having been on and off medication non stop since and also having the odd breakdown and visit to the mental health unit. It affects every part of my life, every day. I wish that I had discovered this organisation earlier - it means the world to know that there are people out there doing their best to help those who suffer. They are the angels this world needs. Thank you.

I am sitting here in another country tortured by the suicide of someone very precious to me. It is almost a week to the moment in time when he made the decision to end his life. I work in the medical field and am no stranger to individuals expressing self-harm. I am truly tortured by the fact that I missed the desperation in his voice when I last spoke to him. I was scheduled to arrive in Sydney this week to be with him. He made me promise that I would be coming for sure....and I did. It was not enough.
