Hi! My name is Zander Bungay and I just turned 6 months old yesterday. My mom found this site when she was looking up my name for fun. My nickname is Zander Bug and Zander Man. It's great to see so many Zanders. People always tell me it's an unusual or uncommon name. Now I can tell people, "no it's not"!

I didn't know there were so many Zanders outside of Wisconsin. I just got back from Germany, where I was researching my other side of the family, the non-Zander side. In the northeast of Germany, in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, I happened across an impossibly small village of Zandershagen (Zander's clearing), near Richtenberg! My branch of the family didn't, however, come from this place, but rather from Posen. Also, there seemed to be no menu without at least one dish featuring Zanderfilet. Of course, I couldn't resist.
