Thank you for coming once again to visit Austin. My great grandparents were native americans and I can say that I am very glad to be a part of it. It was a first time for my little daughter who is 1yr and 6months old to attend a native american powwow and she loved it. I want her to learn about our culture and never forget where we came from. Thanks again for the time spent here with us in Austin and hope to see you once again next year.

This is my first Powow .
I am so excited.
My fathers mother was full blood choctaw and my fathers dad was full blood Cherokee.My mother is mexican/apache.
I have long to find out more about my heritage.I only wish I could obtain my BIA card .But cant seem to find out how.I can feel my spirit draw to the drums and flute when I here it played.
It sets me so much at peace.

My wife and I have not been to the Austin Powwow for about 10 years and we will be there, this year. I am a Gourd Dancer and claim Cherokee blood through my 4th GGrandmother from North Carolina and my wife is a registered TAINO Indian from Guyama, Puerto Rico.
