sorry to hear about the tragic loss but the music must live on as i am sure your dear departed friend would have wished. As a long time follower of the band i wish you all the bset and look forward to hearing you play again and would hope whoever fills the huge gap left by one of the powerhouses of local bands will be garetly honoured by the remaining members

Last saw the lads in Sunderland couple of years ago, that brought back a flood of memories from the 60's 70's, so sad to hear about Alan, great guy, even greater drummer, here's to you and the rest of the group. And Bob, you take care ya here.
Thanks to all of you for the music, memories and all the pleasure over the years.
Steve.

I met my husband at a Beckett gig in Fat Moes, 1971. Have been a fan ever since and became good friends with the band, especially Alan. We were fortunate to be invited to his surprise party. I'm so glad we could be there. We are so lucky to have had him in our lives and I know one day I will think of him without bursting into tears. At the moment I can't. My heart goes out to Karen, Amy and the family. We'll miss you Alan.

I know it is how every drummer, nay, performer, wants to go, but Alan deserved a lot more gigs before time was called. My deepest sympathy goes out to all his family on this sad day. To you guys in the band, keep playing for Alan's sake; don't let him down by taking an early retirement, he wouldn't want that. My thoughts are with you all on this solemn occasion. With deepest sympathy, Keith.
