Carolyn, I just found out today when I went to your wonderful shop for the holiday sale. You befriended me when I first moved to Sonoma six years ago and I looked forward to seeing you every November when you put your big horse out on the corner to let all know that you were open. You always had a kind word and helpful advice. I am saddened to think of the loss your family is feeling and how difficult these holidays will be. You will live on in all the memories of the people you've touched.

Carolyn,
You were my little sister always and everyday I think about you and oh how I wish I could still have you here. I thank Art for telling me about this website at Wine Country Horse Show. I missed you as even though you were always so busy working in your shop there at the shows, I would come by and always take the chocolate out of your candy dish and maybe even buy another belt to wear. Jennifer and I were so fortunate to have you in the horse world. I remember you telling people "that's my niece riding there" I know you had a special pride in having taught her how to ride and given her the gift of the love of horses also. Remember when you would have a birthday cake at the October shows for Jennifer?
I remember and I will never forget our rides together also...........I Love You Carolyn and the next time I am able to be in the saddle again, I will have you with me.........Now you are a a rider in the sky....Rest in Peace. I Love You.

This is to "The Girls". It's Brenda June. I just read through this guest book. Wow. What wonderful friends Carolyn has, truly a testament to her life. I am grateful for this opportunity to share. I hold my memories of Carolyn close to my heart;like sharing secrets when we were small, playing Barbies for hours and arguing alot!, spending a summer vacation in Santa Rosa with your Mom, Adele, my first experience eating an artichoke- (and by the way, Adele, it's now my favorite vegetable!), watching Carolyn and Brenda dance to "Footloose" music at my wedding! Watching Carolyn dance was an event! She danced with her whole person...I am so grateful for that memory and all my memories which are tucked away in my heart. I am a better person having known and loved Carolyn, a better person to have her and you, Brenda, Cherie and Cindy as sisters. I love you all so much.

Carolyn,
We planned Toms 50th birthday together, a great event it was.
I'm sad that you were taken away so early and young.
May you rest in peace.

Dear Carolyn,
You are missed dearly by us all. I would sometimes see you wonder over to my arena and watch my class. After my showday I would come to your store and you woul congragulate me on my class. You would even know the ribbon I won. You always knew when we needed a piece of licorice to brighten up our day. Thank You endlessly for all that you did for us! I LOVE YOU AND ALWAYS WILL!! We will all miss you DEARLY!!! Many hugs and kisses!

I looked forward every year to seeing Carolyn at the Arabian Horse Shows. She was always so friendly and helpful about show clothes and tack, and always remembered my horse's names and their achievements. It is hard to believe she will never again be there. I pray she is at peace, in a place where there are lots of beautiful horses.
